John 3:16 is probably the most well-known Bible verse in the entire world. And though this verse was among the first verses I memorized in my childhood it never gets old to me. This verse is always fresh and new each time I read it, and it always leaves me in awe and amazed that God could love someone like me. For when you read that whosoever believes in Jesus won't "perish", I am that whosoever and so are you.
As you read John 3:16, remember that Jesus died for all so that all might believe on Him and be saved. Below is one way my Preacher defined John 3:16… think about it:
“For God (the Source of love) so loved (the Extent of love) the world (the Object of love), that he gave (the Action of love) his only begotten Son (the Gift of love), that whosoever (the Receiver of love) believeth in him (the Requirement of love) should not perish (the Mercy of love), but have everlasting life (the Grace of love).”

I am Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! I am intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. I have a good head on my shoulders, and oftentimes find myself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. I take great pleasure in many things. I am proficient in nearly all of them, though I will never own it. Lest I seem too perfect, I have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves me very ill indeed.
